A beachfront property, Angsana Velavaru offers 3 restaurants with water villas and private pools on Velavaru Island (Turtle Island). It is a 45-minute Seaplane ride from Malé International Airport. Angsana Velavaru is a family friendly resort, and has an indoor and outdoor kids’ club, which offers a wide variety of activities including babysitting services.

All In-Ocean villas are built apart from the island by the house reefs. Each In-ocean is 2 stories high, spacious and each has an infinity pool. All beach villas are equipped with modern amenities such as outdoor rain shower, TV, coffee & tea making facilities, electric kettle, bedroom and outdoor slippers and a bathrobe. All villas have direct access to the the ocean. Wi-fi is available throughout the island.

The watersports and dive centre offers free rental of snorkeling equipment, guided snorkeling trips, , glass bottom kayaking, whale shark excursions, stingray feeding, dive trips and night fishing trips are available. Angsana Velavaru is also equipped with a Padi 5 Star Gold Palm Dive centre. The resort also houses its own marine laboratory.

Angsana's chefs serve a wide variety of local and international cuisines. Maldivian cuisine, fresh seafood and international dishes are served at the resorts three restaurants. It’s iconic Funa restaurant, serves a fresh lobster dinner. For additional dining, guests are able to book a destination dining experience, an in-villa dining experience, or a floating breakfast.

The property can be reached by seaplane. Passengers can conveniently find our airport counter at Zone A - counter 16.

These transfers will be facilitated via seaplane flights through a third-party company. This service is available for flights landing between 06:00 and 15:30. The seaplane journey typically takes around 45 minutes, followed by a 5-minute speedboat ride to reach the resort's main island or InOcean Villas.

While the resort assists in booking seaplane transfers, please note that the resort does not have control over scheduling and departure timings, which can be subject to changes due to weather conditions.

Please note that a Green Tax of USD 6 per child, per night is applicable additionally. This tax is already calculated and included in the booking price for adults.

Please present the same credit card used to guarantee your booking when checking in and making the payment at the hotel. Please note that property may contact the cardholder for verification purposes.

Lo que más nos gustó fue la atención de todos sobre todo la de Naufal, un tío súper atento con nosotros y con toda la gente, nunca tiene un No cómo respuesta una persona excelente. Todos los camareros son muy atentos y agradables, siempre pendientes de lo que necesitas. Las instalaciones casi perfectas, las villas les faltaría un pequeño cambio de mobiliario, pero por todo lo demás genial.

La única pega que tenemos por las habitaciones es un poco de renovación y arreglar cositas .

Amazing hospitality and facilities.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay in Angsana to the max! We stayed in the deluxe InOcean villa and it was magical. The hospitality is amazing and the facilities including water sports are great. We tried everything from jet skis to kayaking to paddle board. There is ease of communication between guests and staff through WhatsApp and the staff attended to every request we made. This was our first visit to Maldives and we are glad we chose Angsana. We are diffenetly coming back soon!

Joyful holiday in the Indian Ocean

Excellent hospitality and friendly stafts. Were very well taken care from the very moment got picked up fron the airport. Having the house reef directly on doorstep! Encountered so many aquatic wildlife throughout. Exotic reef fishes, sharks, stingray, seaturtle, and the list go on!

Establishment should undergo renovation the soonest. Certain portions of the overwater villa already aged and experienced structural damaged. Need to be repaired the soonest.

La Villa era espectacular, con vistas al atardecer, piscina infinita privada, pasarela con cama tailandesa, terraza con tumbonas geniales, piso de arriba con terraza perfecta… los restaurantes muy buenos, con comida variada y de mucha calidad y todo a la carta con el paquete todo incluido. El Hotel es Perfecto para desconectarse de todo y tener unas excelentes relajantes vacaciones!! Todo el personal era amable y servicial, en especial ( Alex Bartender, Laila Mesera, Ajmal DJ ) Las habitaciones sobre el Agua espectaculares, muy comodas y en especial té sentías en el paraíso. Recomendado al 100%

El todo incluido es muy restringido. Llevad dinero extra porque lo necesitareis . Nos cobraron el primer dia la comida, precio carisimo. amazing setting and the water villas were perfect. I have been to other resorts in Maldives as well and the water villas here are right there with the best. the corals in the house reef are one of the best among Maldives resorts and you can see anything from sharks to stingrays from your villa alone.

service and staff were generally good, but was quite inconsistent. would expect better from a place like this. could do better with the quality of the events planned in the resort and have better whiskey based options in the all inclusive drinks list

None of the photos from Maldives are photoshopped!

It was our first time traveling to Maldives, so cannot compare this hotel to others, but the whole experience was terrific! If you stay in one of the In-Ocean rooms, you are basically staying in the middle of an enormous exotic aquarium. Any time you desire, you just jump into the water and see all kinds of marine life, including turtles, stingrays, baby sharks, octopuses, and all kinds of fish! We even watched a group of dolphins swim around the reef. The room we stayed in was huge, which made us feel like we could stay in the room our entire trip without feeling the need to go out. The staff was great, but we stayed here during Ramadan, which was extra tough on them, having to fast. Also, there is a baseline difference between hospitality in the US and Maldives; having said that I think they did a decent job. The food options were good, but not particularly memorable.

Make sure to go over the documents they send you in detail! Your all-inclusive package does not include all the restaurants on the main island! They state it in the documents they send you, but if you are not paying attention, you won't know, and when you realize that it is too late and you will have to pay for pricy meals. There are also small things that can improve the experience. For example, they should just put snorkeling gear in all the rooms. At the moment, you have to grab them at the main island and return them the day before your departure! Finding marine life is very luck based; you might see something in the water that you want to jump in and take a closer look at the morning before you leave the hotel, but you won't have your gear. You can also bring your own gear with you to the hotel!
